In Loving Memory of Jayne Camburn

Jayne Camburn was a cherished member of the Langley community, remembered for her kindness, understanding, and unwavering dedication to the children in her care. Jayne first joined Langley as SENCO, as well as teaching History and PE. As the SENCO role grew, she devoted herself fully to assessing and supporting children’s needs, leaving her teaching roles behind to focus on what mattered most—ensuring every child received the provision they deserved.

In the Learning Support department, Jayne brought fresh ideas and invaluable skills, always putting the children’s best interests at the heart of everything she did. She was never afraid to step in—whether scribing for a student or championing their needs—and she fought tirelessly to make sure they had the opportunities and support they were entitled to.

Jayne embraced school life with joy and enthusiasm. From dressing up for World Book Day to singing her heart out during House Music, she brought warmth and laughter wherever she went. Her colleagues and students alike admired her thoughtful approach; when others said, “They won’t do it,” Jayne would gently ask, “Why would they?” and work out how to make things possible. That empathy and insight defined her work and her character.

At her funeral, a strong message rang clear: Jayne was understanding, always listening, and endlessly kind—qualities that touched everyone at St. Felix and Langley. Her legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.

Jayne will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the countless lives she shaped with care and love.
