This afternoon, Langley students had the exciting opportunity to speak with Rosie Ashdown Nichol, who is currently studying a BA in Musical Theatre (Performance) at the University of Chichester. Rosie attended Langley Senior School from Year 7 to the end of Year 13, having left in 2024 following a fantastic journey throughout her time at the school. From her first performance, singing in House Music in Year 8, to starring in principal roles in later shows such as Matilda and SIX, Langley gave Rosie the chance to grow and shine. Students interested in musical theatre had the chance to learn more about the audition process to study this type of course, and the difference between Drama Schools and Universities which offer a Musical Theatre degree. Rosie further shared lots of helpful advice on learning lines, audition tips, and handling rejection in such a competitive and tiring environment. Further involving herself in various clubs, teams and shows, Rosie certainly seems to be making the most of her time at university, especially as she approaches her final year. With aspirations to work as a cruise performer, or else in the education sector, it is evident that Rosie has a bright future ahead of her, and we can’t wait to hear about how she further progresses throughout her career! We are very grateful to her for giving up her time to come and speak to students.
